Brightspot is an enterprise user experience platform, designed and developed to power large-scale, highly dynamic, editorially rich and visually stunning consumer experiences. Brightspot brings teams together from day one and speeds up their day-to-day design, development and editorial processes.
Unleash designers: create visually-stunning experiences with complete design flexibility and zero platform constraints.
Empower developers: automate routine tasks and inject industry best practices in development workflows they already know and understand. Brightspot offers the Dari developer framework toolset to speed up development.
Inspire editors: make the publishing tool as compelling and as easy-to-use as the experience it powers.
Enable collaboration: facilitate immediate partnership between teams with rapid prototyping, instant changes, and automated tool chains.
Brightspot was built using the Dari Framework, a powerful object persistence library that makes it easy to build complex content types and persist them to one or more database backends.
It enables the creation of complex data models. Using simple annotations and standard Java types, anything can be modeled and accessed with a web view, or through an API. As a user experience platform, Brightspot can be used as a publishing platform (CMS) for websites and native mobile applications, an application back-end, CRM and much more.

Perfect Sense was founded with giving back to its community core to its mission. Through ongoing, concrete actions, our mission aims at getting our employees off the sidelines to join hand-in-hand in bringing joy to the lives of others, while gaining a greater understanding of our community.
Throughout 2017, Perfect Sense continued to carry out its mission to give back and serve its community through a variety of events that ultimately touched the lives of 1,420 individuals. From the mountains of Schladming, Austria, to the coast of San Juan, Puerto Rico, our employees traveled around the world to make a difference. Just as impactful, however, were our local efforts supporting YMCA’s Thingamajig Invention Convention and Salvation Army’s Angel Tree.
For the third straight World Games, a team of employees from Perfect Sense coordinated the Unified Sports Experiences, a series of exhibition competitions that pair Special Olympics athletes with foreign dignitaries, celebrities, professional athletes, and other honored guests as teammates. Unified Sports Experiences aim to change perceptions and create greater understanding by inspiring communities not only to play unified, but also to live unified.
Broken into two teams of six and split between Graz and Schladming, Perfect Sense employees organized eight Unified Sports Experiences, ranging from snowboarding and alpine skiing to speed skating and floor hockey. During the week of competition, Perfect Sense employees coordinated with venue and sport directors to create memorable experiences for both the athletes and the guests. Managing every last detail from uniforms to roster composition to event rules to awards, the Perfect Sense volunteer team played a critical role in Austria and ensured the events were executed smoothly. In some cases, Perfect Sense employees even filled in at the last minute to compete alongside the athletes.
In between their exhausting days volunteering, Perfect Sense employees also found time to explore the sites around Austria. The team in Graz trekked up nearly 300 steps to the top of Schlossberg to take in a panoramic view of the city and visited the Eggenberg Palace, while the volunteers in Schladming spent their free day skiing down the Dachstein Glacier and eating at an Arnold Schwarzenegger themed restaurant.
I have been working at Perfect Sense full-time (More than a year)
To start off, the people are great. Everyone is friendly, works hard, and willing to help out when needed. They are passionate and proud of the product (Brightspot) and the work they do. The product itself is unlike any other in the market, and the company has an impressive client list (J&J, Politico, Univision, Coca-Cola, etc.) because of it.
The best part about the company, in my opinion, is the emphasis on giving back. I haven't found another company that focuses on mission work like this one does. There are so many opportunities for employees to participate in events with Special Olympics, the YMCA, Troops First, etc. For example, the company flew employees to Puerto Rico to assist in relief efforts in December and is sending a few employees at the end of this month to Aspen to participate in a Special Olympics snowboarding event.
Between the clients, the people, and the mission work, it's motivating and exciting to know that your work every day is contributing to a company that is making an impact in many different ways.
There are quick deadlines and fast-paced projects that require working extra some weeks, but this comes with many project-based companies.
The company is experiencing some growing pains and there needs to be more structure and better internal resources for employees, but they are working on improving this.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Perfect Sense.
Got the interview through a school career fair. Very laid back interview, with mostly getting to know you and your background type questions. Still waiting to see if I get a onsite interview.
