Mission: Your Partner in Engineering the Right Building Environment.
Are you looking for a challenging, rewarding professional engineering career? Great! We’ve been looking for you!
If you’re an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated team player in the field of mechanical or electrical engineering or design, who shares our values and commitment to long-lasting success, we hope you’ll consider a career at Peter Basso Associates. Submit your application at www.peterbassoassociates.com/careers/application
Here at Peter Basso Associates, Inc., everything we do is focused on our Mission, Vision, Guiding Principles, and a Commitment to Quality. When a qualified candidate applies to an open position, you will be contacted by a representative of our Human Resources Department.
When you’re applying for a Co-Op position with us, you’ll be asked to complete a questionnaire and provide a copy of your unofficial transcript. Our hiring team will review them and if your experience meets the criteria of our Co-Op program, you’ll be contacted to schedule an interview.
If you’re applying to an entry level or experienced engineering position, the process is similar. After submitting an application, if you meet the qualifications for the role we’re looking to fill, you will be contacted by a representative of our Human Resources Department. We’ll conduct a very brief phone interview to determine if we’ll move to the next step in the process. When it’s determined that your work and/or educational experience is a fit, we’ll work with you to schedule an interview with our team of professionals in our Troy, Michigan, office.
During the interview and hiring process, we strive to keep candidates updated on our timeline and answer any questions you have along the way.
As a college co-op at Peter Basso Associates, you are provided with a hands-on learning experience that gives a view into the field of engineering design. Co-op students provide engineers with assistance on design projects, and in return, engineers provide each student with the training, coaching, and mentoring needed for working in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry.
Working at Peter Basso Associates allows you to apply your classroom techniques and theories to real world and engineering design projects.
Co-op opportunities are available for fall, winter, and summer semesters, beginning respectively in September, January, and May. Apply at: www.peterbassoassociates.com/careers/application

I have been working at Peter Basso Associates full-time (More than 3 years)
Fantastic co-workers with a we're-all-in-this-together attitude, which may had to do with the fact that it's an ESOP company. Management is willing to teach IF the workers are willing to put in the time and effort. Fast-paced but very rewarding if you can hang.
If you can't multi-task or think on your feet, this may be a bad fit for you. Management can be demanding at times.
Advice to Management
Better communication among group leaders would be helpful. There are times when employees are unsure of their responsibility due to poor communication or lack of direction.
