Piccomolo stores have a great atmosphere and I love ice cream, so it makes me happy to be there serving others. Peak hours are of course in the summer, with the Texas heat burning down. It's so refreshing just being in an ice cream shop amidst cool containers of delectable gelato.
Also, I'm now an expert in ice cream flavors.
And finally, I did get a small discount as an employee that I am more than happy to use any time!
Being on my feet all the time gets exhausting after a while. Also, sometimes customers are impatient and greedy, but that's not Piccomolo's fault.
Advice to Management
Shorter shifts so I can get some rest
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Piccomolo Italian Ice cream (Austin, TX) in May 2008.
The interview was very casual, it was one on one outside the store. The ideas of the company were shared with me and I was asked about my resume, but it was very easy and took about 30 minutes.
