Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

    Pros

Lots of exciting things going on with the new acquisition. Company truly cares about its employees and that change comes from the top down. Has made great progress on DEI initiatives over the past few years.

    Cons

Growing pains, but it's not a bad thing. There's plenty of opportunities for innovation.

I applied through other source. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Ping Identity (United States) in Jul 2023

      Interview

Recruiter reached out had a call and interview same week. Had a 2 person interview, one from management side and another from technical.

The technical portion I felt was straight forward, talked about a variety of topics however could only speak in relation to my experience coming from Azure. Think there was a bit of lost in translation when talking about technologies, taking experience from ADFS and Azure and relating them back to Ping on topics like conditional access, claims and grants. Got the feeling technical interviewer couldn't relate to what I was talking about.
      Interview

Wasn't anything too specific, questions were more tell me about your experience with "x". Seemed like they were just trying to get to know you.
