Pivotal Commware – Why Work With Us?

Pivotal Commware develops custom software, software-defined antennas and radios for network operators who want increased speed, capacity and spectral efficiency. Our breakthrough technology, Holographic Beam Forming ®, offers the necessary cost, size, weight and power consumption (C-SWaP) profile to make military grade beamforming viable for commercial markets.

Creators of Holographic Beam Forming®

Years ago, Pivotal’s founders recognized that wireless demand for data would outgrow the complex coding, multiplexing and modulation schemes that network operators have deployed thus far.  Beamforming was the answer, but existing high cost, size, weight and power-consuming (C-SWaP) solutions were not.  That’s why we assembled a team experienced in advanced communications and commercial antenna and RF circuit design, advanced DARPA technology programs, machine learning and, uniquely, active/nonlinear metamaterials.  Beyond technology, we also offer the depth and breadth of skills to develop integrated, cloud-based, end-to-end solutions.

While Pivotal has completely redefined the physics and economics of providing broadband wireless access for consumer, business and military applications, we still need to refine our technology and adapt it for a multitude of real world scenarios.

Looking ahead, our team will develop machine learning solutions to complement and enhance our fundamental technology.  If you are  passionate about what you do and want to apply yourself to this fascinating endeavor, then we’d like to hear from you.

I have been working at Pivotal Commware as a contractor

Very collaborative environment - I support engineering teams in a variety of ways and I like the ability to not only learn, but also insert myself as someone who can help and bring value

Very knowledgeable and helpful people across all teams

Ability to work closely with management

    My work is highly valued

Nice office perks - stocked kitchen, ping pong table, regular luncheons, happy hours

This is the fourth company I've contracted with in the past 8 years and easily my favorite.

This is my first time working for a small company as opposed to a multi-thousand employee tech giant. The small company atmosphere is ideal for me and I feel like I excel here in ways I couldn't other places, but it may not be for all people.

    Advice to Management

Continue to prioritize collaboration and think proactively.

Only a few minutes interview can give you a whole bad day. The interviewer started with a very rude attitude by interrupting you without listening to explanations. They seems to be eager to hire people but lack of patience to have a "proper" interview.
