    Waitress Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Hull, England (UK)
    No Offer
    Neutral Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at PizzaExpress (Hull, England (UK)) in August 2017.

    Interview

I received an email asking me to attend an interview at 10am on a Saturday, so I turned up slightly early so I gave off a good impression. Having 2 years waiting experience in another Italian restaurant, I believed I was a good candidate. It got to 10:20 and the manager was still nowhere to be seen, until he walked past very calmly and said he would be with me in a moment; he did not seem bothered that I was waiting. Five minutes later, the two chefs (that had been there whilst I was waiting) had to interview me as the manager was "too busy to interview me". They were lovely people, I would have loved to work with them, however I feel that not having a professional, proper interview disadvantaged me. I have not heard back since. It seems that the manager, if he was the manager, needs to be more professional.
