I have been working at Planned Parenthood part-time (More than a year)
Management at all levels seems approachable and eager to work with you
Easy to climb the chain of command to discuss problems/new ideas
Agency seems to like to put people in positions where they can do a great job (ie, interested in ed, become an education person)
Everyone who works there very devoted to good patient care/PP mission
Pretty decent benefits
No nights, no holidays!
Pay is going to be somewhat less than at a hospital
Its a big organization, so change happens slowly
Very policy oriented, the lack of flexibility makes it hard to individualize care sometimes.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Planned Parenthood (Buffalo, NY).
The interview process was pretty standard. Applied online then received an email (as my phone number was not working for them) asking for a time that would be best to come in for an interview. There was a follow up second interview where a small presentation was required but unfortunately I could not make the job change. I will be looking forward to applying again in the future.
