I have been working at Plastic Omnium full-time (More than a year)
Significant international exposure, maintain great benefits when most companies have high-deductible plans (vacation and other benefits also solid), stable company with lots of cash and focus on innovation. Opportunities to create improvement - for those coming from larger companies, less red tape in some areas.
Quirky rules and at times, inflexible way of doing business unless its the 'French Way', which may prohibit or slow growth moving forward on a global scale. Need to be more progressive and change quicker.
Advice to Management
Let go of the approach that got you here and focus on becoming what a 10+ billion euro company does. Don't over-value loyalty at the cost of effectiveness. Improving standardization and organizational structure efficiency will create more profit and allow for much needed additional resources.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Plastic Omnium (New York, NY).
1 interview with manager on the phone and then in the plant. Plant tour and then specific questions concerning degree and experience. This was the only interview, did not meet team.
