Alan Plummer Associates, Inc., began in 1978 in Arlington, Texas. Using the living area as an office and setting up a drafting table in a bedroom, the firm began its operations. Within six years, the firm transitioned its service as primarily a study firm to a study and design firm, with an emphasis on water and wastewater treatment.

Alan Plummer Associates, Inc. (APAI) aquired FEI Engineers and updated the company name to Plummer in 2019.

Giving Back to the Community

At Plummer we strive to give back to the community. Employees are encouraged to be involved in philanthropic activities, whether through donations or by volunteering their time. Plummer employees have participated in mission trips to Nicaragua and Guatemala, collected and donated shoes and backpacks, and volunteered their time to educate children in school about the engineering and science field. Plummer and Plummer employees also pledge annually and make donations via payroll deduction to United Way and Living Water.

Living Water International - Since 2009, Plummer employee donations and company match funds have paid for five new water wells located in rural Guatemalan communities that previously had no access to clean water. In 2010, APAI employees traveled to Guatemala and participated in drilling and completing a new water well for a community school located in the La Machina region of Guatemala.

In 2012, Plummer provided funds for a well rehabilitation project in Ghana, West Africa, extending our impact to a second continent. Over 3,900 people now benefit from clean water provided through these wells, improving both the health and economic viability of the communities.

During the summer of 2013, Plummer employees embarked on a second well rehabilitation trip to Nicaragua; Spring 2014, Spring 2016 and Fall 2017 APAI employees again traveled to Guatemala.

2018 Plummer Drill Trip

The date is set to drill a water well in Guatemala – August 18 through August 25, 2018.  We have requested a reservation of a “full team”, which is comprised of 7 to 12 people. As in the past, Plummer offers scholarships toward this trip.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Plummer full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have worked here over a year and have to say the culture is nothing short of awesome. Personalities mesh seemingly very well. Everyone gets along, if there are politics, I don't see them. We work hard but we also have time to play hard and we have fun. Management is the best I've seen and worked for, I love the people I work with and for across the board. I haven't met anyone from another office that is hard to get along with, everyone seems to be happy.

    Cons

If there are any cons, I haven't found them.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! The communication and commitment from management keeps me going and wanting to come to work. Attitudes are great and the values are lived by.
