I have been working at Point.360 full-time (More than 10 years)
Wonderful, talented and knowledgable colleagues providing cutting edge new media services integrated with old media content. This environment and workflow is able to survive if not necessarily thrive in a very competetive rarefied niche market due to nimble and forward looking (borderline intrepid) executive management.
From a creative/technical employee's POV, the overall corporate management seems just a little too "nose to the balance sheet" in approach. Even loyal, highly adaptive, results oriented producers are asked to make sacrifices in terms of schedule, workflow and most of all compensation. This is, literally, the only cause for complaint.
Advice to Management
Strive to be an industry leader in terms of employee satisfaction as much as you do in terms of technical acumen and comprehensivity... then the company might really take off! No individual in a give and take relationship relishes only giving!
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Point.360 (Los Angeles, CA).
The team was very efficient and great communicators. I met with a small group of managers. Everyone brought something unique to the table, including different takes on the job itself, work life, and company culture.
The team itself were very lovely individuals; I believe they thoroughly enjoy their jobs and what they do on a daily basis. A lot of post-production work can be dull, but they deal with a lot of wonderful entertainment companies that offer exciting film to work on.
