    I have been working at Pomeroy full-time (Less than a year)


    Fairly easy to get hired - they look for EITHER customer service experience or IT knowledge, both are not required, so makes a great entry-level IT position. Variety of schedules that can work around your preference in most circumstances Laid back atmosphere, although still want you to meet metrics in-reason Lateral moves are fairly easy High-performers (who also have the right personality) have room for advancement


    Pay is less than average for experienced IT support - if you don't get promoted in a couple years look elsewhere. Unwritten rule they look at personality that matches with culture for good reviews or even on good terms with co-workers. Sometimes too laid back (swearing is the norm, dress-code is not really enforced) Massaging numbers is a needed skill here - make Level 2s look good to make Pomeroy look good to customers.

    Advice to Management

    Watch for favoritism and also notice how some people will escalate or close tickets that are not troubleshooted or fixed just to make them and the Tier II look good.

    I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Pomeroy (Hebron, KY) in September 2015.


    I interviewed with three mamagers. The asked me several customer service questions and several IT trouble shooting questions. The atmosphere was so relaxed I almost forgot I was in a interview with 3 different managers. I enjoyed talking with them it was like we all meshed very well. I was able to ask some questions as well.
