I worked at Popcornopolis as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

This company has a very in demand product so it's easy to sell. They used to do Road Shows at area Costco stores, so there were plenty of potential customers to engage with that have the money to spend. Plus, it's a fun product to sell!

    Cons

They only pay an average hourly rate, and there are plenty of other vendors that pay much higher. Also, their products can now be found in almost every grocery store in the area, and even though all of their varieties they have at their Road Shows aren't available, the best selling ones like the Zebra are everywhere at a cheaper price and not such a huge quantity as they sell at the Road Shows.

    Advice to Management

I love that it's so much easier to find your products in retail, but it's taken away most of the novelty of the Road Show for the reasons I mentioned above. As a customer of your products, I really wish I could find your Kettle Corn in the grocery store because it was my favorite!

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Popcornopolis (Torrance, CA) in April 2012.

    Interview

They asked me a little about myself. Then they asked what sales experience I had. They told me to sell them a pen and were excited by that. Also asked if I liked popcorn.
