    Populus Group has a fun and entertaining work environment. There are a lot of things unique to Populus Group's culture that make it a great place to work. PG has some really cool perks such as a paid stress account, flexible work schedules and tuition reimbursement. Great work ethic and willingness to show grit is an absolute must, but there is still an emphasis on a work-life balance. Populus Group definitely has a culture built on trust, at all levels of the organization. This is a great place to work if you possess certain qualities and personal characteristics. If you are not willing to go above and beyond in your role, this will not be the place for you. Candor, accountability, resourcefulness and exceptional work ethic are at the core of who PG is. You will get what you put in with this organization.


    An emphasis has been put on tenure, not on skill and talent.

    Advice to Management

    Promoting employees internally is great, but there needs to be less focus on promoting individuals based on tenure and more focus on qualifications.

    I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Populus Group (Troy, MI) in June 2017.


    I was a referral from an internal employee and talked with the Payroll Manager over the phone. I was qualified for the position and the interviewer liked me and thought I would be a good fit so she did not drag me through the interview process and wanted me to start after the pre-employment checks came back clear.
