Mission: Vision: To realize the potential of every home.
Mission: Every project done, every customer satisfied.
I have been working at Porch full-time (More than a year)
There has been some negative reviews from past sellers and it's true that there was a time that Porch was a harder place to sell and build great products, but I will tell you without a doubt the company made huge improvements during 2016 and is at a completely different place. The products we offer to professionals are now really, really good and deliver a great ROI. The way that we are building products is really good -- we are moving really fast, but are organized. The team was communicating well across the company. And most of all, the business is in a totally different place and we are winning in a huge way. The growth rates right now are crazy. And it looks like we'll grow very fast while also doing amazing new things for homeowners this year. Porch grew so fast that it got dinged just because expectations were so high so quickly when it was in fact a startup figuring out it's way. This last 12 months has been critical for the company to take the next step and part of that is becoming a really great place to work.
No free lunches on Fridays like back in the day (but way better snacks and beer) :)
Advice to Management
Just keep executing. And keep winning. Winning and growing makes this a much more fun place to work.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Porch (Seattle, WA).
I was contacted the same day as my application for an in-person interview. The first interview lasted about thirty minutes, and felt like a friendly chat while reviewing the position. I was invited back on the spot for my second interview. The second interview I met with a higher-up, and that interview also lasted for approximately thirty minutes.
Very friendly people, and a great overall experience. I would look forward to the opportunity to interview with them again.
