I worked at Portfolio Evaluations, Inc. full-time
PEI has a great culture with lots of good people. Good work life balance. Good place to learn about varying segments of institutional investing. Senior employees work with junior employees to help enrich their experience. Solid reputation among the industry
Repetitve workload. Limited mobility, however, such is the case with most smaller companies.
Advice to Management
Keep up the good work.
I applied online. I interviewed at Portfolio Evaluations, Inc. in December 2014.
Got a call from a recruiter for a screening interview in the end of November 2014. The interview went well and lasted about 20 minutes. Was contacted again about a week and a half later to set up another interview with a hiring manager. A week later spoke to the hiring manager for 30 minutes. 2 weeks later I was invited on site to meet with the hiring manager and one of the senior level people. The interview lasted about 2 hours and everyone was nice. They seemed impressed, however I never heard back from them, no rejection email, no letter, nothing. I was surprised as everyone I met that day was nice and polite. I also got an impression that they don't have an HR department, so maybe they just don't send rejection letters. Anyway, it was not very professional.
