The Power of:  You

We’re often asked the secret to our rapid growth and success.  The answer is simple: it’s our people.  Power is populated by passionate, hard-working, like-minded individuals who all believe in a shared purpose: realizing our company’s vast potential without sacrificing the values and ethics that have come to define it.

A family-owned and operated business since its inception more than two decades ago, Power focuses on a fulfilling and satisfying employee experience while consistently delivering remarkable products and services to our customers. As a way of fostering this culture, Power continuously rewards employees for their excellence. Whether it’s inviting the entire company on our annual all-inclusive 4-day holiday vacation or organizing regular social gatherings, Power goes above and beyond when taking care of our most important asset: You.

    Pros

Power isn't just a job that you walk into at 9am and promptly leave at 5pm with no emotional attachment. This is a career where you find yourself coming in earlier and staying later, not because you have to but solely because you want to. Power is a community where your peers and colleagues constantly encourage you to be your best. You are acknowledged for your accomplishments and held accountable for reaching your goals. The Executives not only know your name but they know you as a person because they make an effort to build rapport.

    Cons

The downside of working here is thinking about all of the time you've wasted working anywhere else.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took a week. I interviewed at Power Home Remodeling (Iselin, NJ) in February 2017.

    Interview

The first step was the phone interview, where I talked with a TA Specialist about the role, my experience and myself. I also filled out a personality questionnaire.

The second step was an interview with the RVP of Marketing, who asked me more questions about myself and how I thought I would fit in with Power's culture, etc.

The third step was a follow-up interview where I learned more about the position, got asked a few more questions and accepted my offer!
