I worked at Precision Drilling full-time (More than 3 years)
Great company over all. A lot of hands on learning and training. Great pay, and I loved getting two weeks off every month. Pros definitely out weigh the cons.
Working all day or night out in the element. Working away from home for weeks at a time. A lot of rigs are unsafe, and don't have the tools you need to do your job.
Advice to Management
Make sure every rig has all and proper tools. Visit rigs more often. Don't treat long term employees like they are new or insignificant. More random drug tests. Trust me!
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Precision Drilling (Houston, TX).
Easy no problem scheduling or speaking with hiring managers and HR. I have nothing more to say about the interview process. Overall, not much is required to work here.
