Hello, I’m John Kanost and I like to make things look NICE.
I’ve been making things look like nice on the web since 2003, and for Prelude Services and our clients since 2011. When I interviewed with Prelude, first over the phone and later in person, I was impressed with the thoroughness of the questions I was asked and the level of skill and knowledge that was demonstrated and expected that I should have. Prelude hires people who know what they’re doing, and I see that in the interactions I have every day with the people I work with here.
Having worked for large corporations in the past, I can say I enjoy much more the culture here at Prelude. Our smaller size means there are no unknown faces here; you’ll have a chance to work with and get to know almost everyone at some point. It also means that growth is encouraged; I’ve learned a lot since I came to Prelude and am still learning new things all the time!

Out of all of the companies I have worked for, Prelude Services is by far the best. It is an AMAZING company with passionate people who will do anything for each other to build and maintain a fantastic team. I have never seen a company care as much about their employees and clients as this company does. It's a fun place to work, and there is always an exciting activity/event going on each month that keeps all of the employees engaged with each other and building friendships.
The benefits here are phenomenal. Health insurance amd 401k benefits are the best I have ever seen.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Prelude Services (Long Beach, CA) in November 2015.
The interview process was fairly straight forward. It was all done remotely. There was a "pre" interview call with HR. Once that was complete there was a phone interview with the hiring manager. The next step (because this was all done remotely) was a video interview/screen share aptitude assessment with the hiring manager, client account manager and IT director. The last step was a final HR phone interview. The whole process took about 3 weeks to accommodate schedules.
