Advice to Management
Better communication is needed from upper management to average employees. People feel somewhat like a number. Your employees work very hard, and need to be shown they are appreciated. They need to feel some connection to the company as a whole rather than just their individual team. People feel unstable due to frequent layoffs and as a result are frequently looking for other jobs. The workload is very heavy for current staff. Working more with contractors and freelancers has put additional stress on staff who have to train them and clean up after them when they drop the ball.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Premedia Global (New York, NY).
These guys were in a pinch. They asked for a resume one day and asked me to come in to work the next day. There wasn't even a phone interview.
Simple, straightforward contract, and I was fine with the price they quoted.
