I worked at Primary Services full-time (More than 3 years)
Primary Services served as my agent for 4 years while I worked a contract position with a Downstream Oil Company. During that time I had no complaints with their service. They paid promptly, resolved the few hiccups that occurred very promptly and proved to be very helpful.
Sean Flannigan was always available and very proactive and worked with me and my situation to tailor the services to mine and the client company's needs.
Our situation ended when the client company, as most petro companies during the downturn, cut back on capital spend.
For me, no downside. I have been working contract for a number of years, and it is refreshing to find an agency that is willing to work with you and the client so all parties are satisfied.
Advice to Management
I find most of the umbrella providers peddle their services stressing compliance management, but then use their commercial position to avoid taking the contract workers issues into consideration. They tend not to be flexible, when the client company would allow them to be, and they tend not to be responsive to the contract worker when issues come up.
My advice to Management is to seek out ways to stay nimble, flexible, responsive and creative as you have proved to be with me, to both the Client company and the contract worker.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Primary Services in July 2017.
Applied for the NRG job through Career Builder and got an email from the Primary Services recruiter an hour after I applied to schedule an interview. I responded the same day but didn't hear back until a week later on a Saturday to come in on Monday for an interview (the last day they were conducting interviews for that position). So the only interview times that were left was 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Had to choose the later time since I had to work my current job and didn't have enough personal time for the 8 a.m. time. Showed up to the interview 15 minutes early and was bombarded with 3 tests before I can even see the interviewer. After that I saw my first interviewer who was a very serious and cranky dude who hadn't had lunch when he saw me. He told me this much. So I had to deal with a sulky, cranky, impatient interviewer who didn't even want to be there. After that I had to wait in the lobby for the 2nd interviewer who no joke took nearly 40 minutes to show up. I almost got up and walked out. I am not saying this out of spite but merely a fact. These people have ABSOLUTELY NO consideration for anyone's time. I was literally left hanging for nearly an hour before I got to see the 2nd interviewer. And basically their whole interview process was disorganized and mediocre. They honestly made it to where I don't even want the job now.
