Mission: To empower our clients to succeed in the digital world
I have been working at Primitive Logic full-time (More than a year)
Primitive Logic is a great company that hires incredibly smart and capable employees. They are very flexible and focus on the human side of their employees. Everyone has their heart in the right place and will bend to fit/identify needs of their clients. As a result they are always evolving and incredibly adaptable.
There is not tangible advice on how to advance your career. For the most part decisions to promote seem arbitrary and not necessarily based on skill/current capabilities. They are not done on a certain time-line either. Many well-liked coworkers have been leaving to other companies for various reasons and most have mentioned receiving huge advancements in pay, which I interpret to being an issue with the salary here. I find it difficult as an employee to see so many coworkers leaving.
Advice to Management
Set up a tangible promotion timeline and give advice directly to employees with working sessions on what they can tangibly improve. Also, identify specific changes/improvements employees need to make to get to the next level. If this is for a CDL/manager to do, make sure the CDL has the appropriate training and vision so CDLs across the company have the same expectations for each position. It would be nice to see a few holidays added throughout the year.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Primitive Logic (San Francisco, CA).
External recruiter contacted through Linkedin, passed information to internal recruiter. Phone screen with internal recruiter to discuss background and interests alignment and answer any questions from there. Recruiter did not seem knowledgeable about the company and could not answer many questions, also failed to follow up despite having promised to do so. Did not bother reaching back out due to the unprofessional experience with both external and internal recruiters.
