I worked at Professional Educational Services Group part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I had the flexibility to work when and wherever I wanted.
I enjoy working with people, therefore working with students in all levels individually and in groups to promote full academic functioning was rewarding to me.

    Cons

There were more opportunities to work in the Paraprofessional capacity than administrative, whereas administrative is more my expertise. Although, I loved working with the children, I wasn't working with the same ones long enough to feel I could make an impact on their lives.

    Advice to Management

No advise, I think everything is perfect.

    Substitute Teacher Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Professional Educational Services Group (Detroit, MI) in March 2017.

    Interview

There were no interview questions. It is just a lot of hoops you have to jump through and paperwork you have to do. For example, you have to pay for your criminal background check, fingerprinting, and also for your substitute teaching permit from your state's department of education. You also have to take online modules and go in person to verify your identity at one of their meetings.
