I have been working at Progrexion full-time

    Pros

Until this company hired me. Their stance is always people first. At first I kind of took this to be a typical marketing cliche, but the people seemed so genuine in the interviews I gave it a go. I've not seen that stance change at all.
    - Unlimited PTO, just gotta communicate
    - Team socials with paid great food
    - Equipment/Services reimbursements
    - Awesome benefits from day ~30
    - Great 401k
    - Success aimed over deadline. People check in each day to see how you're feeling and what you think you'll get done that day.
    - Plenty of training anytime, and scheduled trainings every week.
    - Laid back, but effective meetings, sometimes catered. That's just a personal joy really.
    - Frequent company communication from the top down, and welcomes communication anywhere.
    - Protective of breaks and having time off of work.
    - The buildings have a lot of amenities when there's no ‘rona.

    Cons

    - Was promised break dancing lessons during code review, have not received these lessons.
    - Hard to keep up with some of these talented people. Luckily there's not really a "behind" to fall into here. Most all are very helpful.
    - Kinda a market reactive company, so changes in market can effect different departments drastically different. They have ways of staying stable in place. I've only seen layoffs happen once. Have felt very confident in the company's stability. I still work here, so *shrug*
    - Kinda struggling to find more relevant cons, they're pretty protective of having a great culture. Sorry review reader.

    Advice to Management

Continue your 1 on 1's and paying attention to culture. Keep evolving like you have been, I think it's been great.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Progrexion (Phoenix, AZ) in May 2020.

    Interview

Very nice and friendly, 2 part interview. I did the interview process over zoom so it was a little different but enjoyable as well. The overall experience of the interview was quick and easy.

Company Updates

  • COVID-19

We will continue to hire amazing people during this unique time! Virtual Hiring Events will be hosted weekly. Check out this link for more info. https://bit.ly/3dr3HcR We have taken the necessary steps to support the health and well-being of current and potential employees during the outbreak of COVID-19 in the United States and across the world. Our interview process is now hosted virtually, we have expanded work from home opportunities, and our training process is being migrated online.

  • We Hear, See and Support All Who Peacefully Protest Acts of Racism. The tragic nature of what happened to George Floyd is a failure on the part of the system and a reminder that real change is needed. Sadly, there are no easy solutions to the political and cultural issues that continue to divide our nation. However, we now have an opportunity to seize this moment and fight for decency, integrity and fairness. To show our dedication to change we are making a $100,000 donation to the NAACP.
