I worked at Prolific Interactive full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Very flat organization
    - Lots of opportunity to learn and grow - the company core value of "roles not boundaries" gives you flexibility to try the things you want to try without people getting territorial
    - great work-life balance for an agency
    - sound approach/process to building products that people love
    - fun projects to work on - prolific gets a variety of startups as well as mature companies
    - nice, respectful teammates who genuinely care about making the world a better place
    - good transparency into what new projects are in the pipeline and kicking off (gives you a chance to chime in if there's something you're very excited to work on)

    Cons

    - if you're not a self-starter/need lots of direction, you probably won't thrive here given that it's a fairly loose and flat org structure

    Advice to Management

    - continue to stay true to the companies core values and you'll do great
    - recognize that strong company and project leaders can come out of any department (not just product management)

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Prolific Interactive.

    Interview

Cold emailed them a copy of my resume, set up a quick phone call followed by a more in-depth technical interview over the phone, followed by a programming problem (developed an iOS app), and then lastly a peer-programming session where we went over said app. Was offered to go to their office for an on-site interview, but declined due to the travel distance. Had our final interview over the phone instead.
