We make learning look good! In the spirit of Simplicity, a Prometheus goal for 2017, the L&D team redesigned its online learning portal (GROW) to give a fresh and focused look to its rich catalog of learning content, containing popular courses like leadership and personal development. Speaking of fresh looks, our Prometheans who most utilized the new online learning portal were awarded their own personalized “GROW” jackets as a reward for taking their learning and development into their own hands. Congratulations to Prometheans like Ben Lei (our Neighbor Service Tech 3 at The Lakes) for championing his growth with us!

Most of those you'll find in our Neighborhoods leasing apartments, meeting with Neighbors, completing service requests, monitoring financials, and doing so much more. We believe in giving back to the neighborhoods we call home. Our Promethean Outreach and Community Help program (POrCH) gives employees the opportunity to volunteer in our neighborhoods while on the clock. On average, over 200 Prometheans are volunteering on any given day.
Prometheus also donates a subsantial portion of our profits to non-profit foundations focused on education, the arts and health care. These programs ensure that we're active members of the neighborhoods we call home. And it's just what good neighbors do.

Let no great work, large or small, go unrecognized. Our recognition program, TORCH, is based on our values, mission and cultural traits. We want to recognize folks for protecting our reputation and for doing something that creates excellence—whether it’s a service moment, taking a risk, or coming up with a great idea that saves the company money or creates a better life for Prometheans or our Neighbors. A “thank you” is always appreciated, but when somebody really goes above and beyond, sometimes a simple thank you doesn’t feel like enough. TORCH lets us share our appreciation for one another in big and small ways. Every Promethean is eligible and encouraged to nominate (and of course receive).
Prometheus wants to be there from the first step when you and your family take on the challenge of higher education. SCHOLARS is how Prometheus invests in yesterday, today, and tomorrow when it comes to the education and the growth of both our Prometheans and their family. With our loan repayment (yesterday) and tuition reimbursement (today) programs for our Prometheans, and our scholarship program (tomorrow) for their dependents, we strive to help those who seek knowledge achieve great accomplishments.

It's a special environment whether you work at one of our many neighborhoods or in Home Office. There is a laid back vibe and a care for all Prometheans. When I say care, I actually mean it! The people around you truly want the best for you and that's a cool feeling to have at your workplace!
Most Prometheus job opportunities are filled by internal promotions or referrals. We develop and grow our talent! There are so many opportunities out there for Prometheans, especially if you live in the Bay Area where we are are the largest private owner of multifamily homes! We're growing too... look out for new neighborhoods coming your way.

We give back to the communities we operate in too! Our POrCH program allows Prometheans to volunteer time and get involved. We back it up with our pocketbooks too. Prometheus donates a large amount of money every year to worthy causes.

Prometheus takes all reviews seriously and tries to tackle anything that comes up as a con. That makes it hard to find something that hasn't already been addressed or in process to be addressed. All that said, Prometheans tend to earn a little less then the market warrants for their skillset, talents, and personality. We make up for it in 100% paid benefits and culture but it would be nice to see us make some changes around pay/bonuses.

I applied through other source. The process took a week. I interviewed at Prometheus Real Estate Group (New York, NY) in December 2015.
The recruitment process was absolutely seamless due, in no small part, to my recruiter, Maria Torres. Maria is one of many awesome Prometheans you'll meet in just a short period of time at Prometheus. Her limitless knowledge of the company and undying positivity were, in my experience, incomparable. Maria never 'oversaw' the hiring process. Instead, it felt as though we worked hand-in-hand and through a collaborative effort we achieved a common goal. The process was effortless and everyone seemed excited which, in turn, made me excited.
