Through our Coordinated-Regional-Care (CRC) model, our medical groups work closely with our hospitals to provide highly coordinated, personalized care to our patients in Southern California, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and South Central Texas.
Based on enrollment, our combined medical groups are among the largest in Southern California, and have contracts with all of the major (non-Kaiser) health maintenance organizations (HMOs) operating in the region. We have 24 affiliated Independent Physician Associations (IPAs) in Southern California that are managed by two of our subsidiaries, Prospect Medical Systems and ProMed Health Care Administrators. These subsidiaries also manage several unaffiliated IPAs.
To provide for the health care services of enrolled plan members, the IPAs contract with medical groups, urgent care centers, medical laboratories, radiology centers and hospitals that are conveniently located across Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside Counties and in the Inland Empire.
In South Central Texas, Prospect Health Services Texas currently has a full network of primary care physicians and specialists. The current American healthcare system is a confusing maze for many people. Too often, physicians and hospitals operate in silos and are at odds with health plans. Patients are left on their own to find specialists, schedule and keep appointments, and make important decisions about their care.
For people with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, obesity and COPD, navigating through the maze can be almost impossible. That is especially true when conditions are aggravated by mental illness.
The result is missed physician appointments, failure to follow prescription drug regimens, and an over-reliance on hospital emergency rooms for routine care. This is not only unhealthy for patients, it’s also very wasteful—and it drives up healthcare costs for everyone.
That’s why we developed our Coordinated-Regional-Care model. Instead of working in isolation, our physicians, affiliated medical groups and hospitals collaborate closely and in partnership with health plans to give our patients and their families highly coordinated, personalized care.
In 2018, 10 Prospect Medical hospitals were the recipients of the distinguished Healthgrades awards for clinical specialty care and patient safety. Many of the hospitals are in the top 5% and 10% in specialized care in the nation. Waterbury Hospital is the only Connecticut hospital named among America’s 100 Best for Coronary Intervention in 2018.

Advice to Management
3% 401K match after 3 years vested would be nice. Thanks!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Prospect Medical Holdings (San Antonio, TX) in October 2018.
Took about a month. everything was pretty smooth. There were three people asking me questions. Seemed pretty informal and more like people were just talking. The people were nice and easy to talk to.
