Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Cons- Growing pains were very obvious in 2021. Still trying to work out all of the kinks on certain transformations, though Nick and others in leadership are listening and acting through the process. -

InterviewMy interview was pretty straight forward. I first had a conversation with the talent manager to review the company, role, team, culture, product, etc. The talent manager was super friendly and I could tell he was excited to be with the company. It was a pleasure speaking with him. After we decided it could be a good fit, he set me up with the manager over a zoom call. Overall, it was a good conversation and she was great to speak with. But after learning a bit more about the role, I decided it wasn't the best fit for what I was looking for long term.
