We are Proteus Digital Health, the driving force behind an entirely new category of therapy called Digital Medicine. Every day, our employees are blazing new trails at the intersection of pharmaceuticals, technology, software and healthcare. Our company is on the forefront of transformative change to the healthcare industry. We are searching for pioneers, problem-solvers and inquisitive minds to help us realize our vision: to improve healthcare for everyone, everywhere. Do you want to work in a dynamic environment where you can grow personally as well as professionally? Then it’s time to apply with Proteus.
As a company, we believe in digital health for everyone everywhere. We have created a new category of therapeutic product – the digital health feedback system – to allow people of all ages and cultures to power their own health, taking better care of themselves and each other.
We see two trends: First, there are more people with mobile phones than there are with access to clean, running water. Second, chronic, often lifestyle-related diseases like diabetes are the world’s biggest healthcare problem, and our health systems can’t cope because they are optimized to treat the acute conditions prevalent decades ago.
Our vision is to integrate medicines that treat chronic conditions with mobile technology – via our ingestible sensor – to make healthcare more accessible, manageable and innovative. We believe that by providing the right technology to individuals who deliver and receive healthcare, we can build a more effective healthcare system with new care paradigms focused on daily care and new information-based business models.
The ingestible sensor is technology you swallow. It’s made entirely of ingredients found in food and activated upon ingestion. You take it alongside your medications, capturing the exact time of ingestion.
Your body powers the ingestible sensor. With no battery and no antenna, your stomach fluids complete the power source and your body transmits the unique number generated by the sensor.
The patch, body-worn and disposable, captures and relays your body’s physiologic responses and behaviors. It receives information from the ingestible sensor, detects heart rate, activity, and rest, and sends information to your mobile device.
Using a Bluetooth-enabled device – like the one you already carry in your pocket or purse – you can access secure applications that display your data in context and support care in a variety of different ways.
We provide our employees with a great benefits package, which includes: medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, paid time off (PTO), company holidays and your birthday off. We contribute to our employees’ health by providing a complimentary fitness device (e.g., Fitbit) and onsite fitness center access.
I have been working at Proteus Digital Health full-time (Less than a year)

The Food choices could be better.
I applied online. I interviewed at Proteus Digital Health in June 2017.
The interview process was swift, upfront and transparent, thoughtful, and appropriately challenging. The HR contact made the process even better by giving me insightful tips prior to each round.
Essentially, I submitted via Glassdoor soon after the posting went up and received an email a day later requesting a phone screening. During that initial screening, the HR rep outlined what the process would look like if I was selected to progress through each round. This was great, as it let me know upfront what to expect.
Over the course of a couple weeks, I had three phone/Zoom interviews, followed by a day of onsite interviews. The HR rep was excellent as providing feedback after each interview, and the next step was scheduled promptly.
Throughout the process, what stood out was what a great group of people work at Proteus. Everyone asked thoughtful questions, made sure to give me an opportunity to ask questions, was respectful, and genuinely seemed to like one another.
This is how every interview process should be!
