I worked at Providence Community Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

My favorite pros about working with this company during my time with them is due to the amazing colleagues that I got to work with. Management has been always great at finding and hiring people who can work well with each other to plan and execute objectives that are aimed to benefit and service our clients.

    Cons

All of the management team, with the exception of a couple, are way too closed minded.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the teams more who are constantly in the field and work side by side with the clients. Don't be so naive and be open to other ways on how issues can be dealt with. The team members know more than you think on how things can be approached and handled in the most quality efficient way possible.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Providence Community Services (Pottsville, PA).

    Interview

Interview with director, after interview never saw her again. She seemed out of touch about demands of job and training required. Asked me if I got my degree online, which i thought was strange (I told her I didn't, and I"m not sure how that would affect my ability to do the job)

    Interview Questions

    • none of the questions were hard. She seemed more interested in filling the position as there is high turnover in this job.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

salary seemed set in stone, due in part to the amount the state is willing to pay out for position.
