I have been working at PsychoGenics full-time (More than 5 years)
There are many positive aspects of working at Psychogenics. First of all, the working atmosphere is professional and collegial. There is always someone that can help. Second of all, hard work and positive attitude to work is being recognized and rewarded. Thirdly, and very importantly, middle and upper management provides opportunities for growth. Scientists are encouraged to follow their interests that are inline with the overall goals of the company. Resources are provided for scientists to explore new ideas and conduct experiments even if they do not immidiately result in client contracts. Individual scientists have access to capabilities of other groups and if their ideas get traction resources of other groups could be utilized. This results in great opportunities for scientists to broaden their research. Very importantly, scientists are encouraged to publish their findings in peer-reviewed journals and/or present at conferences. There are very few CROs that provide scientists with such opportunities. If one has ideas and energy, Psychogenics is a great environment.
There are maybe some minor cons, however pros are so much more evident that small cons don't even matter!
