Join us if you’re up to the challenge.

It's all about the culture.

We continue to work hard at creating a culture and work environment which is nothing short of awesome. Aside from all the candy, free lunches and happy hours, we have focused on creating an environment where you can truly succeed and grow as a professional. While this culture serves us well from a business perspective, it is also a testament to our investment in every team members future. The programs, policies and perks we select are all a part of our plan to create something special.

We invest in you so you can make a difference

We encourage fresh perspectives and know that great ideas can come from anywhere. PulsePoint is known to take risks and make moves before the market tells us we have to. We celebrate and embrace transformative change. We want you to learn and grow while you work at PulsePoint. Each employee has a developmental stipend for continuous learning and professional growth. Opportunities are plentiful at PulsePoint - we think big, take chances and get things done. We work with employees on individualized Career Development Plans to understand their next role, identify tools and trainings to get them there, and check in periodically to ensure they’re on track and happy.

At PulsePoint, we don't just hire smart people. We hire people who seek a relaxed, collaborative and open environment where they can be creative, ambitious and have a huge impact. And while each of us already think big , we are always on the lookout for team members who think bigger, move faster, and amaze our customers every day. These are exciting times at PulsePoint. We have great teams in place and we're always looking for more.

WIN TOGETHER, LOSE TOGETHER

We are one company, one team. We believe that succeeding collectively is more important than our own individual accomplishments. Like many companies, we celebrate hitting big milestones and goals across the company—big time (and it may or may not involve drinks and door prizes). That’s the easy part. The difficult part and the sign of a successful team is how it responds when it’s kicked in the gut and things don’t go as planned.  We view these challenges as learning opportunities, taking collective responsibility, never pointing fingers and getting collectively stronger as a result. There is no “they” at PulsePoint; only “we”.

HAVE FUN OR GO HOME

PulsePoint is an awesome and fun place to work. We encourage all team members to think about how they can add a little bit of fun to their day and how they can love the incredible work they do at PulsePoint.  We don't take ourselves too seriously. We take pride in the incredible culture we’ve been able to achieve and look for people who truly enjoy contributing to that culture every single day. Our colleagues at PulsePoint are some of the most talented in the industry and the friendships we make along the way make us a happier, better and more productive company. Negativity and pessimism don’t do well here. Our offices have clearly labeled ‘exit signs’. If you’re not enjoying yourself, use them.

DELIGHT OUR CUSTOMERS EVERYDAY

It’s not about simply meeting our customer’s expectations—it’s about going the extra mile and blowing those expectations out of the water. Regardless of whether the customer is someone with whom we do business or our fellow PulsePoint team members, it’s our opportunity to create "Wow!” in each and every interaction.  We regularly ask ourselves, “will it make my customer smile?” If yes, we do it. If not, we don’t.

MOVE FAST AND MAKE SH*T HAPPEN

Our success is built on speed, agility and personal accountability. At PulsePoint, we’re never complacent.  We anticipate what’s next, jump in with both feet and fill the void.  We always bring our A-Game—our focused excellence. We are obsessed about quality but with an iterative, fast-paced approach. We move quickly with a shared sense of purpose and simply get things done, knocking down any obstacles in our path.  If you’re waiting around for someone to tell you what to do you’re too late; at PulsePoint someone already beat you to it.

INNOVATIVE APPROACHES IN EVERYTHING WE DO

We challenge norms and push boundaries. We are bold in what we do even if it means missteps and failures along the way. That’s not to say we enjoy failing; far from it. Failing sucks. But if we’re not willing to try new stuff, fail fast and pivot to the next great idea we’ll stagnate as a company. And while we’d all like to come up with the new “billion dollar idea”, we recognize innovation is often incremental, looking at even the most routine situations as unique opportunities to do it better, challenging each other and ourselves to push the envelope on what can be done. We don’t just work outside the box, we crush it.

Bringing the Team Together For An EPIC Gathering

PulsePoint knows how to throw a party. Every year we take a couple days off of work, get the team (near and far) together for surprises, fun, ideation and celebration!  From cruising through the Bermuda Triangle, hiking the Grand Canyon, Scavenger hunting and Galactic Snow Tubing - PulsePoint doesn’t just preach our core value "Have Fun or Go Home"... we live it!

Build the Future of Radical Health Personalization

We believe in data and technology. We have a global team of 35 engineers who use their expertise to lead our organization.

Their motto- No Fluff, Just Stuff - You won’t have to worry about dealing with bureaucracy, or working with outdated technology, or having endless meetings on your calendars.

Our engineers take pride in their ability to work well together, demand a lot from each other, learn from their peers and push their teammates to be the best engineers.

The engineering teams at PulsePoint run their own stuff,  and make things happen with the best tools on the market. They act as a product team, with the power to be curious, design and build any ideas that make the product better.

They have created the most technically advanced team with passion for what they get to build. They are the engines of PulsePoint’s success.

I have been working at PulsePoint full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great company if you really want to own your role, learn and grow.

I joined as an individual contributor and have been able to work up to managing the European Business before transitioning to managing the Global Operations team. Through out that journey management but their faith in me and invested time to educate and train me on what it takes to succeed in those roles.

If you want to play a part in building and scaling a valuable company, it's a great place to work.

    Cons

Scaling a business is hard and requires commitment. If you want an easy job where you're just a cog in a big machine go find a big mature business. If you want to make a real impact come to PulsePoint.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PulsePoint.

    Interview

In my sophomore year, I went to a Java Meet Up with friends that was hosted in their NYC headquarter. I met with the then CTO; we went to bar, and had conversions (both tech and non-tech). He gave me his business card. I followed up with him for an interview. The interview questions were mostly based on what I knew (data structure, sorting, algorithms, data science); it was not hard. I ended up getting the internship offer.

    Interview Questions

    • He asked me about different use-cases, I couldn't answer most of them. Also, watch out for the tricky questions on heap and hashtable (Java).   Answer Question
