    Pros

Good growing company. Smart and demanding but that's a good thing.

    Cons

Glass ceiling for US nationals. They look to the Netherlands before the US for promotions.

    Advice to Management

Find good people here in the US to run your business.

Project & Process Development Engineer Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Blair, NE
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Purac (Blair, NE) in June 2009.

    Interview

a phone screen with a recruiter, and then a phone interview with the hiring manager. fly me out to NE and put me up in a very nice hotel downtown. already a positive in my book :) met two members from the team for dinner. the plant manager and my boss. they picked me up from the hotel. plant manager was down to earth. he did pull some rather funny interview tricks at dinner like using extremely profane language etc. i guess as a means to check my demeanor etc. i just laughed. the next day i met the team and was very pleased with the diversity of the team, AND the plant managers interview style.
they invited me over that night with the rest of the team to play cards at the bosses house. so you could say the interview went well. :) also, they let me stay the whole weekend to enjoy downtown omaha all expenses paid. cant beat that. how many companies do that nowadays? :)

    Interview Questions

    • the plant manager asked me some really intense stressful questions about regulations & plant process design etc with an emphisis on process design parameters. i was really stressed out. i guess i did alright though as i received an offer that monday.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

no negotiation as the salary was competative for my skill set at the time.
