    Pros

The Purdue Research Foundation, particularly speaking, the Office of Technology Commercialization is a very pleasant place to work. Everyone in this office is friendly and intelligence making it enjoyable to speak to other co-workers.

    Cons

The downside to working at the Purdue Research Foundation is that it is a non-profit organization. Thus, the salaries tend to be a little below the average.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Purdue Research Foundation (West Lafayette, IN) in August 2013.

    Interview

Department managers and a couple of HR employees conducted what is typically considered the general interview process. Asked questions relevant to my past work experience, when I graduated from college, my goals within the organization, my interest/ability to work with others and why I left previous jobs. Nothing unexpected or atypical.

    Interview Questions

    • One question they did ask was what I had done recently (at the time of the interview) to brighten someone's day.   1 Answer

    Negotiation

I did not get a chance to propose an offer. When I received the phone call that I was being offered the position, I was told at that time what I would be making.
