Pure Storage was founded 7 years ago with the ambitious goal of revolutionizing the computing infrastructure industry. We have accomplished the first step towards that goal by bringing to market the simplest and most reliable all-flash storage array in history, and marking the beginnings of the all flash data center revolution, achieving an industry-best Satmetrix Certified Net Promoter Score of 83.5 in the process. The full potential impact of our line of "Smart Storage" products is only beginning to be felt as customers discover the full benefits and exciting applications that can be built on top of a Pure system.
We are opening a whole new world of computing possibilities for developers to create data intense applications of unprecedented performance and scale. This is only the first step in our vision of enabling a future of exciting new platforms and data intensive computing paradigms, cloud based and on-premise, that will be made possible by unleashing the power, performance, and simplicity of Pure Storage products.
We’ve been honored by the San Francisco Business Times as a Best Place to Work for 3 consecutive years. It’s elements like a feeling of shared ownership, company theme colors and social activities that makes Pure Storage a best place to work.
We believe in putting our customers first, teamwork, persistence, creativity, and ownership. Our experienced executive leadership team is focused on building a great company that will be here for the long term. We hold a monthly All Hands Lunch, which enforces an open-door policy and promotes our "check your ego at the door" mentality.
The kitchens are always stocked with snacks, dinner delivery is sponsored for those working late and lunch is catered 3 days a week. We encourage work life balance with unlimited vacation and sick time. Additionally, we have fun! Pure hosts annual ski trips to Tahoe, boat cruises around the bay, company BBQs, costume contests, beer bashes, quarterly hackathons and game nights…just to name a few!
We are looking for university grads and interns in search of “hands on” experience learning about and finding simple solutions to complex problems alongside our world-class engineering team. No storage experience required. Our DNA spans a variety of disciplines that makes our innovative technology successful. We've started a revolution in the storage industry and want students who are ready to take on the hard challenges.
Our intern projects are real and influential projects that contribute to the success of our company. These are projects that Pure actively wants to work on, but hasn't found the right time, so our interns have been carefully selected to take on these challenges. We’ll give your career the FLASH start that it needs through:
I have been working at Pure Storage full-time (More than 3 years)
The culture at Pure is leagues more compelling and inclusive than any company I've worked for in the past. I truly feel like I'm a part of something big and important. I feel connected to the impact our company makes on our customers, and proud to be a part of such a disruptive and innovative team. Pure has grown in numbers vastly in the last several years, and the company has prioritized keeping the culture intact. I like seeing that commitment from the top down. That creates a feeling of security; as we continue to grow, I feel that I still have a place in the company and the reasons why I joined (do work that makes an impact, employ a bias for action without bureaucracy, collaborate with super intelligent people so I continue to learn, and to grow my career) became reasons why I stay.
Rapid growth has it's growing pains. Nothing unusual from my experience.
Advice to Management
