Mission: Creating intelligent spaces.
I have been working at Purple - Intelligent Spaces full-time
Great culture, Great employees and an absolutely amazing product. When I was recruited, one of my interviews was with the CEO. I have worked for other tech companies and I have never had a CEO take time out of his day to a part of every employees interview process.
I look forward to going to work everyday and the reaction our clients have when they see our product in action speaks for itself. Their eyes light up and I have yet to have a client not fall in love with our product.
Work hours are flexible and allow a great work life balance.
There is nothing that I dislike about this company, I would definitely reocmmend working here!
Advice to Management
Management is great as they truly care about your development and career.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Purple - Intelligent Spaces (Austin, TX) in January 2018.
I received a phone call one afternoon from the recruiter. The recruiter was extremely rude and he did not tell anything about the position itself when asked. The initial feel of the company was super bad. The recruiter had a thick accent so he was very hard to understand. Recruiter said that he was a java developer before and he himself would take the technical screening. He scheduled a webex call for the technical screening in the same week. Just right 2 minutes before the call, he sent an email that he had a meeting. We rescheduled the webex again the next week. The same thing repeated. Just right 2 minutes before the call, he sends me an email that the requirements are changed and a week later I received a standard email that the position is no longer available. This is not expected from a "Best Place to Work"company.
