Company Updates

  • It’s been a busy month at QTS!

    We started off with our Q1 Earnings Call, where we had the opportunity to hear from leaders on QTS’s performance and announced the acquisition of two data centers in the Netherlands!

    We then hosted our quarterly People Rally where QTSers and business leaders come together to discuss the latest news at QTS. This Rally we touched on overall company performance, sales momentum and progress against our key business initiatives, and also introduced our new website.

    Last week we hosted the Richmond NAP Summit, where leaders across the industry converged to discuss the newest subsea fiber cable—it was standing room only!

    This week, our newest QTSers traveled to Duluth, Georgia to complete their QTS Journey—our version of new hire orientation to the company. We are excited to welcome new QTSers to the family!!

    QTS Announces Mid-Atlantic Network Access Point (NAP) of Virginia

    Responding to increasing demand for the lowest latency network access between the US and International markets, QTS, a leading provider of hybrid colocation and mega-scale data center solutions, today announced the establishment of the Mid-Atlantic Network Access Point (NAP) of Virginia located in Richmond, Va.

  • This month we announced our new wellness program, CHOOSE WELLness! We are so excited to offer opportunities to encourage overall wellness for QTSers and their families! Our program has many creative components including quarterly challenges covering physical and mental health, healthy selfies of QTSers making healthy choices, Good Eats! to shared our favorite healthy recipes and of course a health risk assessment.

    This quarter we are focusing on tracking our steps with our Step It Up challenge. Our team's are getting competitive with our Overland Park office challenging our friends in Ashburn. Chicago has also challenged Santa Clara . Our latest challenge is from our Richmond team challenging their friends in Suwanee. While the results are still early, our Chicago team is leading the company followed closely by the Richmond and our Santa Clara teams. Currently, our Chicago site is averaging 60,000 steps!! Way to go team!!

    I have been working at QTS full-time (More than 10 years)


    The employees all get along with each other - no backstabbing to get ahead. You feel as if the company and CEO care about You and your well being. Their policies are not perfect but the feedback loop is wide open and they are continually adjusting to make it better.


    Some of the leaders do not have formal leadership training or experience and it shows in how those departments are run.

    Advice to Management

    Keep listening to the people who power this company. Be agile and make the changes quickly to allow more growth.

    I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at QTS in June 2016.


    It was a very laid back interview process. Initially a phone interview then in person. The interviewers were friendly and helpful. Most of the questions were asking how current skills relate to the job needed. This seems like a great company to work for. The managers seem to value input and involve everybody in the process.
