  1. Information Security Engineer Interview

    Anonymous Employee in United States
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Qorvo (United States)

The first call was with the CISO. I was initially very flattered that someone from the C suite reached out to me directly encouraging me to reply. Very pleasant first interview. Things started to fall apart with the second (semi-technical) interview. (I had to follow up just to get this scheduled). I interviewed with two infosec engineers. The questions asked were pretty basic and the conversation with very laid back. However, one of the engineers openly admitted that he had not prepared for this interview at all. When the tables were turned for my questions, I learned that one engineer merely took the job some time ago because Qorvo was hiring and the other was basically offered the job because he 'had a lot of alcohol' with some of the other engineers at a info sec convention. I lost interest at this point. I followed up about a week after the interview (because no expectations were made on when i'd actually hear back) because I was curious and heard nothing. I emailed HR directly, no response. I'd avoid this department if you can.
