Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

    Pros

    The people are what makes Qualified what it is. We are united under very transparent goals that are shared readily at a bi-weekly All Hands. The organization follows the V2MOM methodology, so prioritizing programs and projects is relatively 'easy' in a hyperfast environment. The work is hard, but employees have the opportunity to be impactful on the business. I've worked at companies large and small, and I am extremely motivated and fulfilled by the team and opportunity at Qualified.

    Cons

    There are growing pains that have felt magnified by the current tech recession. The workload is heavy, but we're a small team trying to accomplish big goals.

    Best Places to Work 2022: Qualified made working from home really work MAY 2022 This article was originally featured on The San Francisco Business Times.‍ At Qualified, a B2B marketing chatbot software company, the workplace changes brought about by the pandemic defined the company’s growth. “When it really settled in, all of a sudden we were like, this is who we are. This is the future of our company,” said Kraig Swensrud, CEO and founder. “Thank God this all didn’t happen a decade earlier because we’re on Zoom right now. This technology for video conferencing didn’t work a decade ago and there was no Teams or Slack or these amazing collaboration tools.” His enthusiasm for a remote-first workplace is evident: About 50 people work out of Qualified’s downtown San Francisco office, and the remainder, about 110 employees, work from home.     Qualified Announces $95M Series C to Transform Pipeline Generation for B2B Enterprises APRIL 2022 SAN FRANCISCO, April 26, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Qualified, the pipeline generation platform for revenue teams that use Salesforce, today announced $95 million in Series C financing. The financing round was led by Sapphire, with significant participation from Tiger Global. Contributing to the round are existing Series B investors Norwest Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, and Salesforce Ventures.
