I worked at Quidel full-time
People are friendly and care about producing high quality products for physicians and hospitals. The work is interesting and those who raise their hand to do more are given opportunities to grow.
Many of the leaders seem to be retired on the job or doing their own thing. There is a disconnect between what the organization could be and what it is. Lots of potential that is going unrealized.
Advice to Management
Reconnect and communicate with your employees on a regular basis. It is difficult to be inspired and to innovate when you don't know where the company is going or why you are being asked to do what you do.
I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Quidel (San Diego, CA) in March 2017.
Had a phone interview, was invited to interview in person at the office in San Diego. Met with five people in the department, all very friendly. Was told I'd be notified of their decision by the end of the week, was not contacted so I assume they went with someone else.
