    A key advisor to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has been appointed to a new position in the company - one that reflects its continued focus on delivery infrastructure. Maria Renz, who served as technical advisor to Bezos for the past two years, has been named to the new role of VP of delivery experience, reported Recode.

Lending a Hand

From our collaboration with STATE Bags to bring much-needed school supplies to more than 550 children in Newark to our annual Toy Drive with the Jersey City Medical Foundation, we are proud to be involved in our local community. Quidsians embrace our communities and our customers' communities around the globe. The Quidsi Volunteer Club arranges fundraisers and volunteer events where our employees can come together to help out the community. Quidsi also offers all employees Volunteer Time Off to allow employees to take advantage of both Quidsi-sponsored activities and those activities in employees' own backyards.

    Pros

    Challenging environment, a lot of visibility, chance to work across many roles and functions. You will learn a ton here if you are motivated and ambitious.

    Cons

    This is not the place for people who just want to coast or need coddling. You will need to learn your business and take ownership very quickly.

    Advice to Management

    Stay focused on the culture and employee satisfaction. Even the little things count.

    I applied in-person. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Quidsi (Fairview, NJ).

    Interview

    It was a very quick process. My resume was submitted through an agency. I was offered telephonic interview the next day and by evening they set up a face to face interview in 2 days and they gave out the decision in the next two days.
