Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Quorum (United States)

The interview process what lengthy but not terrible. They laid out exactly how the process would go and sent the links I needed to prepare what I needed to prepare.

My issue with their process is that I made it all the way to the last round, spent an hour on Zoom with an employee, and then was told they had already offered the position to someone else. I don't understand why they didn't wait until all candidates were given a fair shot, but it really left a bad taste in my mouth for this company and I was really excited for the potential to work there.
