RCN was founded in 1994 and was one of the first telecom companies to offer a triple play service - phone, cable, and Internet - to residential and small business customers. The company has expanded tremendously since then through a combination of organic growth and acquisition which opened the door for us to provide service to large enterprise customers as well. In 2006 we completed a substantial network upgrade, including conversion to a 100% digital network. We have continued to invest in our network, our product offerings and our employees.

I have been working at RCN full-time (More than a year)
RCN is a great company to work for and have alot of promote from within potential. I have been at RCN for a long time and i can say this company treats employees great! I would recommend RCN to everyone!
None from what i have noticed, except 1 person that gives a negative impact but that`s 1 bad apple out of a field and nothing against the company.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at RCN (Wilkes-Barre, PA) in January 2016.
The selection process took place with a series of interviews over the span of three weeks. Overall, it was a positive experience with a great group of people. I was an internal candidate so I was already familiar with the position and the people who were conducting the interview. They were looking for not only experience with quality assurance but also wanted to make sure the selected candidate had good synergy with the department.
