RaceTrac Petroleum – Why Work For Us?

Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, RaceTrac is a third-generation led, family-owned company that is comprised of two operating divisions: RaceTrac and RaceWay and a mix of subsidiaries.  RaceTrac owns and operates more than 400 RaceTrac retail fuel and convenience stores across four southern states.  We also own nearly 300 contract-operated RaceWay retail fuel and convenience stores in 12 states.

You don’t have to tell us – we know our team members are super cool. They do an amazing job of making sure every single guest feels like family when they visit our stores. When RaceTrac team members put people first, it extends far beyond the parking lot and they use The RaceTrac Way as a constant guide.

The RaceTrac Way is not just a trendy motto that gets thrown around from time to time and it’s not a yellow-brick road leading to our stores (although that’s not such a bad idea). It’s our culture, it’s who we are and it drives us to success. By putting people first, we create a culture of strong performers who have a warrior’s passion to succeed while humbly committing to the team rather than self.

Most importantly, we believe in living for fun each and every day because let’s face it, you can’t take taquitos too seriously! It is this commitment that makes RaceTrac an exciting and engaging place to work. So whether it’s in the Store Support Center or at one of our many locations, you can find your place at RaceTrac!

We attribute our success to the energy, teamwork and winning attitudes of our people. If you want to join our exciting team as an associate, a member of management or in a store support center position find out more above.

At RaceTrac, our people are our competitive advantage and our store team members look forward to serving the nearly 400,000 guests who visit RaceTrac daily. We find the more our managers and associates are involved with the store, the more we’re able to continue to provide our guests with the products and services they expect when they shop at RaceTrac.

Our team members demonstrate the RaceTrac Way: a warrior’s passion, a humble attitude and living for fun every day.

We set all of our people up for success. Advancement can happen quickly for outstanding, dependable team members and with RaceTrac’s history of growth, successful associates and managers always have opportunities. In fact, many RaceTrac leaders started their careers in one of our stores.

Our culture is the combination of our mission statement, core values, leadership qualities and our own RaceTrac Way of doing things. If you’re looking for a career opportunity with plenty of room for growth and a fun culture, look no further.

Being a part of the RaceTrac team means committing to our core values of Honesty, Respect, Positive Attitude, Efficiency and Teamwork in everything we do.

Live the RaceTrac way!

    Easy Interview

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at RaceTrac Petroleum.

Had three interviews. First interview was with recruiter over the phone. A few questions about my resume and my experience. Second interview was a face to face interview with the recruiter which had some behavioral questions. Last was at a corporate office where I interviewed with the area HR person and talked about my background and also asked a few behavioral questions. I really want to note that the last person was very professional and structured. The recruiter on the other hand was most horrible recruiter I have ever been in contact with. He asked which time was best for me then would try to schedule the opposite time. He would tell me he would get back to me by a date and never hear from him. If it wasn't for knowing someone that currently worked for the company and enjoys his time there I wouldn't have bothered continuing the process.
