I worked at Ralcorp (More than 10 years)

While each division within the holding company was a bit different, my experience within the Cereal division was outstanding. A company that truly understood the value of working cross-functionally. Well above average leaders and work force. Great team environment, and an outstanding run of shareholder return over an extended period.

Would have liked to see Ralcorp play a bigger role in the community. As a top 10 St. Louis HQ, it was a relative unknown in its own city. Ill-fated, rushed and poorly-conceived restructuring plan with questionable motivation just prior to its acquisition by ConAgra served to tarnish its last days of independence.

    Advice to Management

Sold to ConAgra in 2013, so the rest is history. Now on the selling block, once again proving that running a branded business and private label business requires deep understanding of the nuances of each.
