I worked at Random House part-time
Great entry level experience with books
I don't really have any cons about them
I applied online. I interviewed at Random House.
Phone interview with HR, then in-person interview with marketing manager and her assistant. As the interview went on, I began to feel that it might not be the best fit for me, and I ended up interning somewhere else for that season.
On the Penguin Random House internship application, they recommend you state up to three departments you are interested in. Be thoughtful about this.Once you're that far along in the process you can't turn around and say, 'Oh, now I realize I'm much more suited to managing editorial" so do your research beforehand.
Overall, positive and friendly.
