Mission: Our mission is to enable the transformation of entire industries and to unleash the value of distributed real-time information.
RTI solved customer problems in the following areas:
One of the best examples of our company culture is a week (company-wide) kickoff called CKO. RTI hosts a beginning-of-year combination vision/party/kickoff event with the entire staff. RTI is a unique team and a unique culture. Our "all hands" CKO is a big part of that culture. It helps us employees bond, focus, learn, and celebrate.
What do we do at CKO? Well, first, we'll clarify our vision and execution plans for the upcoming year. RTI has an insanely great opportunity! Realizing our potential takes everyone. We are big enough now to have a significant impact on the world. But we are far too small to go off in different directions. We have guest speakers along with an agenda filled with fun events (ranging from karaoke nights, team bonding events and yacht cruises) for everyone in the company to get to know each other!
All our employees are invited and everyone is critical to our success. We really are, as the saying goes, Working as One.
To learn more about our core values, check it out here: Core Values
A healthy employee makes for a good employee. That’s why medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage is provided. In addition, we offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – free, confidential counseling to help with personal, family, financial, health or work-related problems. We also have an onsite fitness room open 24/7 so you can work out on your schedule.
We hire stars and reward their efforts by offering competitive salaries and a variety of tools to help ensure a secure financial future. Benefits include 401(k) matching contribution, 401(k) and Roth post-tax options, pre-tax flexible Health and Dependent Care Spending Accounts, profit sharing, merit bonuses and equity participation.
Enjoy your time away from RTI. We offer unlimited paid time off which not only allows employees to take reasonable vacations based on their personal plans each year but also potentially pays you bonuses to use vacation benefit while you are at RTI. Our goal is to support, with both words and money, a trusting culture of results-based performance.
We really love our culture – casual yet professional, an interesting mix of personalities, experience, and interests. We find that a range of employee perks such as well-stocked kitchens, Lunch and Learn trainings, ping pong tournaments, off-site events and holiday celebrations allow us to enjoy time together away from work. One of our most unique attributions is our employee–to–employee rewards program. Employees can give out a voucher worth a certain amount of money which the recipient can redeem for any gift card of their choice! This program encourages us to appreciate, recognize, and reward our co-workers efforts no matter how big or small the task was.

I have been working at Real-Time Innovations full-time (More than a year)
-the people at RTI are wonderful. No big egos, no favoritism. It's like a family environment everyone has each other's backs and are not quick to judge if a mistake is made.
-Business is doing really good, company has received many accolades
-Good benefits package and compensation
-Catered lunch on Fridays
-Good work/life balance
-Unlimited Paid Time Off
-Ping Pong Table!
I've worked at big companies prior to coming to RTI. I am grateful that I made the switch from going to a household name company to a small company that is making a serious impact in the IoT space. I love how RTI recognizes its employees through various ways. You feel like your work is appreciated and that your not just a small fish in a big pond. RTI isn't your Google, Facebook, Yahoo, or Microsoft etc and that is great in my eyes. These big companies can lure you with their 100 plus perks ( probably to make you stay longer at work) and higher than average base pay but at the end of the day, you feel lost in a crowd where you don't see too much room for advancement and it becomes clear that their's more to life than having a full wallet. RTI gave me work satisfaction along with fair compensation for my level of experience, I feel happy coming to work each and everyday and working on exciting projects that I know will get implemented.
RTI is unique in the sense that the technology is destined to make an impact in the near future, the management team does not feel distant from the employee base and you can easily interact with upper management. In big companies, good luck in trying to meet a VP.
I love that their are not politics or favoritism in the company. Everyone that works hard is given the chance to succeed and rewarded fairly. The environment is positive and uplifting, there is hardly any drama and people generally here do not bad mouth each other. I've noticed many employees that are at RTI have stayed for over 4 years. This speaks volumes!
The CEO is down to earth and can easily interact with all employees.
I wish catered lunch was offered everyday. Would love to see more inter department team building events.
Advice to Management
I think management is doing an exceptionally good job. Keep being transparent.
I applied online. I interviewed at Real-Time Innovations (Sunnyvale, CA).
RTI is one of those companies that's on a mission to change the world...literally.
When I saw the opening for this position I knew I wanted to have shot with the company, so I applied. A person on the recruiting team reached out to me for a phone interview, I did well, and was invited to come onsite. The onsite interview was standard but also very informational. Laptop were used to capture notes, which I thought was different than most companies I interviewed with. Despite this, the interviewers had no problem connecting with me. I left knowing the culture of the company and a little bit of what they do. I was even more excited about the opportunity.
A week later, I was offered the position and I had no hesitation choosing RTI as my long term employer!
