Featured Roles and What They Do
Our Account Executives serve as the initial business contact for the doctor client and are responsible for onboarding, engagement and upselling. Their focus is to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality of service and retention.
Our Customer Service Representatives not only work to connect customers with their chosen doctors, but also serve as a direct line to RealSelf customers. They gather customer feedback and use that rare insight to improve the service we provide as a team and company.
Our Software Developers are the backbone of the organization, providing real-time value to users by consistently and rapidly shipping high-quality tests and features to our site and app. They collaborate daily with other Software Developers and product-focused contributors.
This team works to acquire, onboard, engage, upsell, and retain providers in order to support the RealSelf marketplace and revenue growth for the company.
This team works to support and enable rapid, iterative product development, generate significant customer-centric learnings, and drive sustainable business growth through technology. They own the quality, stability, and iterative development methods for the software and technology that run RealSelf’s products and services.
It is this team's responsibility to let the world know we're here to help with their aesthetic decisions, understand our customers in and out to ensure a great customer experience, and to make certain our customers have adequate provider options to select the clinician that's right for them.
This team exists to create a space - physical, mental, and emotional - in which people can be their best, most productive selves. They are here to build a powerful team that equips people to own their performance, learning & development and career growth.
This team works to ensure appropriate resource allocation against strategic initiatives and support business in decision analysis (Financial Planning & Analysis) and to manage day-to-day business operations including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial accounting, reporting, systems, and tax (Accounting).
This team works to define and execute product improvements to grow the business.

RealSelf is committed to making an impact in our local Seattle community. Some of our efforts include hosting food and clothing drives, participating in neighborhood cleanup projects, volunteering in the Treehouse wearhouse and sorting food for Food Lifeline. The RealSelf Fellowship awards funding to medical professionals who donate their time and expertise to deliver care and training in underserved communities around the world.
More than a dozen doctors have been named RealSelf Fellows and received aid for humanitarian medical trips around the world. From helping burn victims in Haiti to repairing cleft palates in Vietnam and so much more.

Over the many years I've been here, I could go on forever on the pros in working at RealSelf.
What I want to call out is the investment we make in our people.
For the last few years, we continue to raise the bar in what employees are offered in training and support.
Aside from our awesome team and company events that contribute to an incredible culture & reinforce our strong core values, we are also offered training & support in a variety of personal & professional topics:
Self Defense Classes
Improv Class - To help increase communication both in sales calls & cross functional collaboration
Mindfullness - Teaching what it means and how to incorporate
Financial Planning support - What is it and where do we start? (outside of 401k)
Volunteering - We do something almost quarterly to help both locally & globally
Yoga - we used to offer yoga in house weekly, though I don't think we do anymore?
Health coach - On top of our health fair, we've had coaches come in to teach us about health & fitness.
We even had Spa day where you could sign up for a massage, facial, or manicure.
Leadership Training: Managers are offered multiple courses in leadership best practices.
Public Speaking - We had a course on relieving anxiety when speaking in groups (available to anyone in the company, these aren't just offered to sales)
This is just to name a few, but I couldn't be happier to see this investment in people on all levels, on all teams.
At the rate we're growing I no longer know everyone's name, let alone what everyone does. The good news is, we hire smart people and building big teams to support our aggressive initiatives!

I applied online. I interviewed at RealSelf (Seattle, WA) in February 2017.
Applied online, 2 days after got a recruiter email, then she emailed me a case study to be finished within 5 days after I opened it. After I submitted it, I was notified that I passed the round and could speak with an analyst in the team. After the phone call we scheduled an onsite interview two weeks later.
Since I was not a local candidate, Realself generously covered all my airfare, food, transportation and hotel to fly me in and interview me. The interview was a full afternoon including 5 interviews with 5 different people. After all the interviews, my recruiter came in and introduced the benefits (which are pretty decent). 3 business days later I got the email of interview result.
Overall, Realself interview process is my favorite among all my other interviews. Recruiter professionalism is a top-notch. (God I wish more companies could hire recruiters like Realself!) Interviewers were so friendly and welcoming that it makes my other interviews with other companies a bit harsh (not blaming Realself here). They even prepared a goodie bag for interviewees including a tumbler, a notebook, peppermint ,a Starbucks gift card and a donation to charity in the name of the candidate!
