RealtimeBoard – Why Work For Us?

Reshaping the future of teamwork

How visual collaboration turns the challenges of distributed teamwork into competitive advantages

Our team at RealtimeBoard has dedicated the past few years to creating a universal tool for visual collaboration in order to turn online whiteboards into something much greater than their physical counterparts.

Having talked to hundreds of the best teams from around the world, we collected valuable insights about their pain points. This allowed us to take the next step toward helping teams achieve their desired results faster. Now we are excited to introduce the new version of RealtimeBoard. We know that it’s just the right moment to present the results of our work as well as talk to you about our product vision and the mission behind it.

Whether you have been with us from the very beginning or just started looking for a team collaboration solution, we want to share our experience and insights about the future of teamwork with you.

RealtimeBoard is a leading visual collaboration platform for cross-functional teams in organizations of all sizes. Over 1.6 million managers, designers, agile coaches, marketers and other professionals collaborate, visualize and collect ideas and share their work using our product. We have more than 4500 paying customers from world's most successful and innovative companies, including teams inside Netflix, Twitter, Skyscanner, Qlik, Upwork, Expedia, Spotify, eBay, Cisco, Sapient, Geometry, Unbounce, Autodesk, PwC, Deloitte and others.

We have an ambitious goal to build a robust team and grow from 1.6 million partners at the end of 2017 to 10 million partners in a couple of years.

If you find getting inspiring feedback from customers every day motivating, then RealtimeBoard is just the right company for you. We are a young and passionate team that exponentially grows every year — join us and let's continue growing together!

At RealtimeBoard, these core values ring true to heart for every member on this team:

Dare to dream big and work hard. We are not afraid of hard tasks and love challenges. We are idealists (in a good sense) and we want to change the world. At least a little bit.

Play, as a team, to win the world. We are result-driven team ready for winning any championships. Work for us is exciting team play, where each of us is the Most Valuable Player.

Creating a better version of ourselves every day. Every day for us is an opportunity to become better as a company and as people. We learn constantly, improving our professional and personal skills, advance business processes and never stop.

Drive change and be open. We are open-minded and ready to embrace new things and changes. Feedback is very important for us (both from customers and teammates), because we see it as an opportunity to change something, improve our product, company and processes.

Embrace trust to turn failures into wins. We trust and help each other. It’s ok to make mistakes and be ready to experiment, because we want a safe and supportive environment.

Yes to passion, no to bullsh**. We love what we do and try to do it better with all our energy and passion. We can’t stand unnecessary bureaucracy and processes for the sake of processes. We always ask ourselves: is this the right thing to do?

I have been working at RealtimeBoard full-time (More than a year)

Great colleagues forming great teams building a transformational product all driven by it's culture. Even with 300% growth year over year they have done a fantastic job at ensuring that original core culture never waivers and continues to be the driving force behind every decision.

Its a trickle down effect from great leadership. And you can see this all the way down to the product itself. With such growth and opportunity its not always going to be pretty/easy, it can't be, but at the end of the day the culture grants everyone a voice resulting in true open collaboration so we can continue to adjust/improve together.

You'll want to work hard and put in the hours because you'll know it's worth it.

    Advice to Management

Continue to ensure the hustle and teamwork mindset never waivers

    Average Interview

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at RealtimeBoard in August 2018.

The hiring manager followed up with me <1 week after submitting an application with CV/cover letter. After a couple rounds of screener calls, I was given a homework assignment to demonstrate my proficiency in the skills/ processes needed to do the position effectively. I had 3 or 4 more interviews with team members and eventually the CMO and CEO. Overall, the process was transparent and fair, but engaging and at times challenging. Throughout the interview, I felt that the interviewers had put time and effort into the questions they were asking (I didn't receive any canned questions or encounter situations where multiple interviewers asked the same question).
