RedPeg is a place where individualism is celebrated and you're given a lot of freedom to create your own path. I came into the agency with tons of ideas (some of them a little wacky) and I've felt

It will not be easy to truly thrive here if you are used to a rigid or slower paced job. Things move quickly, and change quickly and some people won't like that. The company tries it's best to

Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing, I've seen this agency grow and change in ways that probably wouldn't have been possible anywhere else. Keep listening to your employees and the sky is the limit.

  1. Senior Manager, Marketing Communications Interview

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at RedPeg Marketing (United States) in Mar 2020

I had originally applied for the position in October 2019 and was reached out to the next day for a phone interview. I was told they would follow up with me to schedule an in-person interview. After two weeks went by with no word, I followed up with the recruiter and was told the position is on hold until January 2020.

Fast forward to January, I followed up to inquire about the status of the position but I never received a response. Fast forward to late February, I noticed RedPeg was promoting the position again on LinkedIn, so I followed up once again. I immediately received an invitation to come in for an in-person interview.

On the day of the interview, I arrived mentally prepared for my interview, only to get there and find out that they had forgotten about the interview and the hiring manager wasn't in the office. The recruiter was very apologetic, so I agreed to reschedule the interview. Then COVID-19 hits the DC area so I asked if they still wanted me to come in for the interview or switch to a virtual interview. They agreed to interview virtually.

The hiring manager begins the interview by telling me they still plan to recruit for this role, but with everything going on, it may be best to stay with my current company. Understandable advice, but also a bit off-putting. We continue with the interview. Despite the disclaimer in the beginning, I am then asked to complete a writing exercise to test my writing ability, after already submitting writing samples. Usually, I don't agree to assignments like this, because I think its inconsiderate of my time as an interviewer, plus they have already wasted my time several times previously. I agreed to do the writing assignment anyway because honestly I really wanted the position. I submitted the assisgnment, received a thank you, and never heard back since. It looks like they have freezed hiring for this year, but I would've appreciated proper notice from RedPeg, especially after what I went through during the interview process.
