I have been working at Redis Labs full-time (Less than a year)
As part of the Solutions Architect team (aka presales/postsales aka technical sales aka solution engineer), my team is all over the world and coming from a very diverse set of backgrounds. I feel challenged every day to get smarter so I can contribute to the conversation.
On top of that, the in-memory-compute space is continuing to evolve as demands from IoT, ML, and mundane topics like customer experience, anti-counterfeit, supply chain diversion, etc continue to expand. Net net, it is exciting to be in the middle of all this.
If you don't/can't work from one of the offices (Mountain View, London, Tel Aviv) you need to be self motivated and either comfortable working with people you can't see or be open to working with people you can't see.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Redis Labs.
It was a very well run process which included multiple stakeholders across the organization. Each interviewer was engaged, prepared and respectful of my time. The process moved along quickly, there was constant feedback and expectations were consistently and accurately set.
The first phase was with the leadership of the solutions architecture organization followed by a short technical exercise and technical interview. There were no "gotcha" questions; everything was relevant to the types of questions we face daily. Next was a F2F interview, followed by meetings with leaders of other relevant departments such as Sales. Finally a meeting with the HR lead concluded the interviewing phase and an offer was extended.
The offer matched everything that was discussed and committed in the earlier phases.
